The Last Battle of Atlanta was a professional wrestling main event match between Tommy Rich and Buzz Sawyer, of Georgia Championship Wrestling (GCW). The un-televised match took place at the Omni Coliseum in Atlanta, Georgia on October 23, 1983 and the match was credited as the basis for a “Hell in a Cell” match stipulation. For many years footage of this card was considered to be the "holy grail" of tape trading and was believed to not exist... In 2012, WWE actually went on record stating that only a few pictures existed from the event and it was believed to have not been filmed. Unbeknownst to them, video documentation was actually hidden deep in the World Championship Wrestling reel library (unlabeled)… In September 2016, the main event match was finally discovered and uploaded to the WWE Network, with the remainder of the event added in October 2018.
