Publisher's Summary Newt has been to hell and back with his friends. The Glade. The Maze. The Scorch. The inner halls of WICKED. But now he has a burden that can't be shared with Thomas and the others - the Flare. And Newt can't bear the thought of his friends watching him descend into madness as he succumbs to the virus. Leaving only a note, Newt departs the Berg before the Gladers return from their mission into Denver, Colorado. From there, he experiences the gritty nightmare of life on the streets, running from the infected and those hunting them, until he ends up in the Crank Palace, the last dumping ground of those without hope. Although Newt thought he was running away from his friends to save them from himself, along the way he meets a young mother named Keisha and her son, Dante, who end up saving Newt in a way he could never have imagined. Taking place during the latter events of The Death Cure, Crank Palace tells the story of Newt like never before, from inside his own mind, as he searches for meaning in a life gone horribly wrong. He will try to fulfill a newfound destiny before his path leads to its inevitable conclusion - and one last meeting with his best friend. ©2020 James Dashner (P)2020 Tantor

Mark Deakins did a great job reading and I loved you could tell the difference in tone from every character. The story line was amazing and I wanted to cry. Newt is one of the best characters if not the best and this story was amazing and thank you so much for letting us see his view. His story was so heartbreaking but he never gave up, he was so selfless and wanted the best for everyone even if it hurt him to do it.
I have no other words. This book was incredible. It gave me hope at the end, and now I’m in tears. I absolutely love the writing style of James Dashner and how he chose to end the book. I will keep listening to this over and over, and read the book again and again when it comes out.
okay this was so good if you love Newt like I do then you'll love this. You'll feel for Newt on so many levels with this story.I can't wait for the actual book to come out so I can hold it in my hand.
Like every time I finish a maze runner book, I cried. I love this entire series, this made me feel a little more whole. Newt is by far one of my favorite characters and I love that this gave some insight to what he went through and felt. Thank you James Dashner for another wonderfully amazing part of the series.
Happy to know this part of the story.very complete for a very loved character.
Newt was always my favorite character, so when I heard about this book I had to get it. Seeing his life through his eyes was a great way to honor him. I laughed and I cried. Thank you James Dashner for another remarkable book!
