So guys , The fight between Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Carlos Baldomir took place on September 18, 2010, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. This bout was a significant event in Canelo's early career, showcasing his growing skills and potential as a future boxing superstar. The bout was scheduled for ten rounds in the light middleweight division. At the time, Canelo was a rising star in the boxing world, known for his power, precision, and impressive record despite his young age (20 years old). A seasoned Argentine fighter, Baldomir was a former WBC and lineal welterweight champion. Although he was past his prime at the time of this fight, he was still considered a tough and durable opponent. The highlight of the fight came in the sixth round. Canelo landed a right hand followed by a powerful left hook that appeared to knock Baldomir out cold. Baldomir fell face down and struggled to get back to his feet before the referee counted him out. The referee waved his hands and declared Canelo the winner by knockout.
