🥊 FIGHT DESCRIPTION: The highly touted prospect remained ice-cold and in complete control, systematically dismantling Manuel Jaimes from the opening bell on the Denys Berinchyk-Keyshawn Davis undercard at The Theater at Madison Square Garden. Then Abdullah Mason showed exactly why so many in the boxing world believe he is destined for stardom. Just three months after surviving two first-round knockdowns before brutally stopping Dominican veteran Johan Vasquez in the second round, the 20-year-old Cleveland southpaw delivered another devastating statement. Armed with blistering hand speed, sharp intelligence, elite skill, and serious power, Mason dropped Jaimes once in the second round, again in the third, and twice more in the fourth. The destruction ended at 1:55 of Round 4 when Mason blasted Jaimes with a short right uppercut that flattened him on his back, forcing referee David Fields to immediately wave off the scheduled 10-round lightweight bout. Mason improved to 17-0 with 15 knockouts and made it clear afterward that his sights are already set on a world title shot.
