A first-half Joao Palhinha goal was enough to secure Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League status and consign Everton to a 1-0 away defeat on the final day of the 2025/26 season. Palhinha scrambled home from a corner – after his initial header had cannoned back off the post – to clinch a game of few clear-cut chances and earn avoid Spurs' first relegation from the top flight since 1977.
