The Secret To Making Restaurant Quality Scallops |Garlic Butter Scallops Recipe
Garlic Butter Scallops Ingredients: • 1 lb scallops (pat dry with paper towels) • 4 cloves garlic (minced) • 3 tbsp unsalted butter • 1 tsp salt • 1 tsp ground black pepper • ¼ tsp Old Bay seasoning • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped) • Lemon slices (for garnish and serving) ⸻ Instructions: 1. Prep the Scallops: • If your scallops have the small side muscle attached, remove it. • Pat the scallops very dry with paper towels (this helps them sear properly). • Season evenly with salt, black pepper, and Old Bay seasoning. 2. Sear the Scallops: • Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. • Once the butter is hot and foamy (but not browned), place scallops in the skillet in a single layer. • Sear for about 2–3 minutes per side, until a golden crust forms. Do not overcrowd the pan—work in batches if needed. • Remove scallops from the skillet and set aside. 3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. • Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. • Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant (do not burn). • Stir in chopped parsley. 4. Combine & Serve: • Return the scallops to the skillet just to coat them in the garlic butter. • Plate immediately and garnish with lemon slices or squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top.
