The New Prince Claims Glory: NJPW New Japan Cup 2026 Finals Review With another winter seeing another set of departures from New Japan Pro-Wrestling, this year's New Japan Cup gave the company no choice but to put their young talent in the main event slots. How well did they do? Well, it came down to four men by the semi-finals: Bolton Oleg, Yuya Uemura, Shota Umino, and Callum Newman. The young men didn't disappoint, including a stellar semi-final match between Umino and Newman. In the end, it was Callum Newman who had everyone making way for The Prince as he won the New Japan Cup and looks forward to challenging Yota Tsuji for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at Sakura Genesis with the entire United Empire behind him.
