Using examples from Superlek vs Rodtang, Petchmorakot vs Yodsanklai and Seksan, we explore how the smaller ONE Championship gloves change the relationship between striking and grappling. The fingerless gloves make it easier to manipulate an opponent's hands and arms at punching range, but can also make sustained control more difficult once the fight moves into the clinch.
