After Luger's main event singles push had come to an end, the WWF decided to pair him up with Davey Boy Smith to create a new tag team. The Allied Powers are maybe best remembered for their WrestleMania XI opening contest against Jacob & Eli Blu, but that was certainly not the best match Luger and Smith had on WWF PPV.
