In Round 2, Fullerton landed an illegal knee to Gilmore's temple. "It was right on the temple. I saw bright lights. I knew what it was — I wasn't going to quit for that," Gilmore said afterward. A point was deducted. Gilmore recovered. Then he came back in Round 3, took Fullerton's back in a scramble, and sank the rear naked choke at 2:02 to retain the belt. Gilmore improves to 8-2 and announced post-fight he's headed to the professional ranks: "I think I can do it.
