Literally, a finger-snapping, mellifluous composition from Siddharth Kasyap. The acoustic-based “Madhoshiyaan” – with lyrics by Shakeel Azmi – conveys a girl’s candid, honest admission about how genuine she is in her craziness and full of mischief for her lover, letting herself loose from all inhibitions in the real world to show her true self to the only person who deserves to see her in this unpretentious avatar. With a melody that truly supports these sentiments is the musical accompaniment from musician Vinnie Hutton, who plays acoustic guitar, and the remarkable sound from Atul Raninga’s pianica, an instrument that is a hybrid of the piano and the harmonica, which is also known as the melodica, blow-organ, key harmonica, and melody horn. The song is vocalised to perfection by Smita Jain, who has previously sung jingles, performed in television shows, and has been a playback singer in Bollywood movies. Under the musical supervision of composer Siddharth Kasyap, Smita adds her own talent to the project, and really shines on her own as the featured vocalist on “Madhoshiyaan”.
