Written and directed by don hahn. Some narration by howard's sister sarah, and his mom shirley, who had been a performer. From an early age, howard liked to put on shows and create new worlds in the family home. Some recorded quotes and recordings from howard himself, although he passed away in 1991. Howard and his partner stuart white built a theater, the wpa, in rough, lower new york, and put on plays. Lots of time spent on little shop of horrors. Working with alan menken, he worked with disney, creating songs for the big time. There are images of a live, recorded quote from larry kramer, but he is not currently listed in the cast list on imdb. Sadly, howard died so young at 40. Won two oscars for best song... beauty and the beast, and little mermaid. And nominated for so many more. Such a loss. There was probably a lot more to come.
This is a really beautiful documentary about a very special, beautiful person. If you love Disney, you need to watch this.
