Before he became a world champion, many believed traditional martial arts could never dominate the modern Octagon. Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida proved everyone wrong. In this exclusive sit-down at Bangtao Muay Thai & MMA, the UFC legend takes us through the defining moments of his storied career. From the raw nerves of his very first walkout to the surreal moment Dana White wrapped the Light Heavyweight World Title around his waist, Lyoto breaks down the tactical brilliance behind his signature Machida Karate + Steven Seagal link. Beyond the knockouts, Lyoto opens up on the personal battles: managing mental health under extreme spotlight, the foundational influence of his father Yoshizo Machida, and why family remains the anchor of his life.
