I loved the movie so cood
I like how this movie takes the perspective of extraterrestrials and even comments on current human society. I like how they talk about how on Earth which they called the "Dark Planet" that we have divided up into countries and had wars. The aliens on planet Baab called Earth the "Dark Planet" because no non-humans space travelers have returned from it yet. General Shanker was a xenophobic general and head of the top secret Area 51 who had a tragic back story form his early childhood. Shanker wanted to steal energy sources from Baab to power a super weapon to destroy entire planets in hopes of getting rid of an "alien infestation" because of what happened to his dad and wanting revenge. His plans were eventually foiled.
source: Escape from Planet Earth
My dad & my little girl kid 7 years old hate to watch escape from planet earth at the worst movie ever & ruined my pathetic life!
What can I say, the movie lives up to the hype, basically aliens have to escape from earth. WHAT A TWIST! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, I was enthralled in how much drama they could produce, m night shamalan has some competition, I wouldn't be surprised if Dolan directed this movie, great for kids (just cover their eyes in the hardcore * scenes!)
2013 was a pretty bad year in animation in my opinion, as a whole lot of bad movies in the Animation category came out that year (Free Birds and The Nut Job being notable ones). Granted, not EVERY animated film that came out that year was unbearable, but i just didn't like that year (even some films that were good, like Frozen and Despicable Me 2, are just ones i don't prefer) Nonetheless, EFPE ends up being an alright picture...but would i watch it above other movies? F**k no. The Animation is good, and the voice acting is pretty good as well, and it seems like the actors genuinely want to make a good picture (unlike The Nut Job) and while the story is terribly unoriginal, it at least doesn't insult human history (like Free Birds)...or at least not as much AS Free Birds. So in short, while not unbearable, this movie is definitely able to be skipped.
The movie wasn't to bad but it could be so much better. At first I felt sorry for the director for working with the Weinstein company, But after watching the film commentary he went to Weinstein to get money for the movie. Good lesion for film makers before selling you soul check what the devil has done before. The Weinstein company ruined another animated film before this one. One good thing he got to work with some known stars, and he went on to make more movies.
This movie was very bad and boring it is a waste of time of your life if you go and see it actually. I fell asleep when I went to go and see it in the movie theater. As a matter of fact me and my Dad both did it was that terribly bad and horrible there is not even like a plot to the story it sucked so bad. I would question anyone who would go to see it on DVD. Again there is no sense at all to the movie like it is so predictable with in the first three minutes of the movie and like and could be on a infant channel on TV and the babies probably would not even like it! So here I say it again do not waste your time by going to see this stupid boring movie!
The start of the movie is just another plot of typical alien films, but as you move on you see a difference. The heroes are aliens (for us!) and the humans are villains. I loved the concept but the film couldn't keep its zeal; the action was vague and too immature. It seems like the film makers wanted to target the youngest age group, but even though should have put the better part of their thinking into it. Films like toy story and ice age enjoy similar themes, but there is something in which they differ from Escape From Planet Earth- Quality of action! To summarize I would insist you better try other films of this kind, like monsters vs aliens
This movie is rated PG. Mainly because of violence and frightening themes. But I think all kids can watch it. It's no more frightening or violent than Saturday morning cartoons or video games for children. All the characters look friendly and childlike. There is no gore or real suffering. No sex, nudity or curse words. Nobody even dies. Just knocked out temporarily. As an adult, I thought the animation was good. And I found it entertaining for a kids movie. I read through the other reviews. Most of the complaints are from a very picky adult perspective. Kids don't see things that way. They just want to have fun. It may not be the best kids movie. But I believe kids will enjoy it. And adults can enjoy sitting through it with kids.
