I have to admit, Melissa Barrera was the reason why I decided to watch that movie, because I really loved her on the "Scream" movies. The plot of the movie was very interesting and kinda innovative. The storyline was well-written and everything was well-explained, even though it was kinda simple. The characters were very interesting, well-developed and kinda likeable. The filming location of the movie was just a big old creepy house in the middle of nowhere. The casting was really good and their acting was descent (Melissa Barrera was as good as always). In my opinion, it was a kinda scary movie and there were many jumpscares. The ending scene was definitely unpredictable and I really enjoyed the plot twist. Overall, it was a nice horror movie, very creepy, kinda intense and I would probably recommend it to my friends.

I will be honest, this movie looked mediocre to me and my thoughts were confirmed after watching the first few minutes. It looked to be an average haunted house movie where a happy family is torn down towards the end. The only thing slightly different was that the wife is pregnant. I stuck with it to see if there was any uniqueness due to that and I'm actually glad I did. Despite the run of the mill introduction, there was actually some intelligence here and there was a lot of substance towards the end. The main actress was very good and she sort of carried this movie on her back. If this movie had the pacing it did towards the last half hour, a lot of people would stick around and enjoy it. The scare factor could have been upped for sure and should have been executed better to be really effective but overall, I would recommend it for a simple horror movie night.

Bad acting, terribly shallow storyline, lacks logic and besides them being annoying and better off getting divorced, we don't get to know the characters. There's nothing good I can say about the movie that would make it worth watching; and it's so poorly made that the moments supposed to be creepy end up being just ridiculous. We love the little movie theatre we watched this at, but when leaving (while my head was still shaking in disbelief) I felt almost angry with the guy that sold the tickets because everyone who's seen this film should have warned me that I'm about to waste a lot of time watching it.

For the first hour and 10 minutes this film just plodded along. After having taken a fall down the stairs inside their new house while heavily pregnant, Julie gets ordered to spend the remainder of her pregnancy in bed, all 55 days of it. She quickly starts to hallucinate - wet footprints on the ceiling, a boy in the cupboard in the bedroom, and becomes convinced that it is the spirit of their first child who was sadly still born. As she continues with these visions, her husband of course thinks she's slipping back into the madness she suffered after their loss. He brings a home nurse in to look after her while he's at work. She continues having visions and attempts speaking to the boy. On one occasion he tells her to 'run' and 'she wants the baby'. She of course thinks it's the nurse who wants the baby. Her husband and nurse becoming more convinced she's losing it big time. The last 15-20 minutes of the film, it just erupts. It all happens. Without spoiling any further i'll just say she was wrong about the nurse. I will say one thing though. When she delivers the baby there is no umbilical cord and the wee one is incredibly clean for a new born. That moment in the film felt really odd. I would say this is not a bad effort overall. It does create a certain tension and you do get the feeling coming through of Julie's paranoia and general mental state crumbling. The ending, more the last 5 minutes or so were odd, shall we say. It was all very clear as to what was happening. There was no confusion, but it was an odd ending. I feel that could've been improved on.
