This is when WWE had a third World Title for 10 minutes. In June 2005, World Heavyweight Champion Batista was already assigned to Raw. Then WWE Champion John Cena was drafted to Raw. On Smackdown, Teddy Long wanted to take a decision regarding the fact that Smackdown doesn’t have a champion. JBL interrupted, saying that he gives Teddy a chance to make him the Smackdown Champion. Teddy told him to shut up. He won't take a decision until the Draft is over, and he actually came out to introduce Smackdown’s number one draft pick Chris Benoit. A week later, JBL faced The Undertaker in a no DQ match. Taker went for the Tombstone, Randy Orton appeared, caught him with the RKO and JBL won. Next week, JBL told Teddy that he heard that he created a Smackdown World Championship, trying to convince him to give him the title because he beat Taker. Teddy said he will make an announcement, JBL is going to be happy about that, and he already was. JBL was waiting in the ring for the title to be handed to him and Booker T interrupted. JBL thought he came out to congratulate him. Booker said that the title must be earned and challenged him for the title. Benoit interrupted and suggested a triple threat match. Big Show interrupted, suggesting two options, either a fatal 4 way match or a triple threat one after they beat JBL down together. Teddy came out with the new title in his hand. Teddy announced a 5 way match for the title, including everyone in the ring and also adding Taker. Muhammad Hassan got drafted to Smackdown, saying that he deserves to be the champion, Teddy put him in the match and made it an elimination one. A week later, Muhammad talked about the upcoming Independence Day and Taker interrupted. Muhammad told him he beat everyone, except him. Taker caught his neck, Daivari hit him with a chair, he looked at him and Muhammad ran away. Then Taker hit Daivari with a chokeslam.
