Escaping the forces of Vega, an evil alien commander residing in his spaceship, a young prince leaves Planet Fleed aboard the Grendizer, a powerful war machine, and arrives on Earth. He is rescued by a brilliant scientist and his colleagues but later fights flying saucers and robots sent by Vega to seize Grendizer and destroy the universe.
