Josko Gvardiol has reflected on a whirlwind, trophy-laden three years at City but stressed he wants to win even more in the future here in Manchester. Since arriving in August 2023 from RB Leipzig, Gvardiol has collected six major honours – the Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Community Shield as well as the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup. Now, with a fresh five-year deal signed, sealed and delivered, the 24-year-old is targeting more of football’s top prizes. “Being here, being surrounded by all these great names, players and characters, seeing them every day, training and pushing harder and harder, we achieved a lot of things together,” the defender said. “My only wish is that we continue that way. I am really looking forward to being here, staying here and playing here for many, many years. “It’s been three years and we have achieved a lot of things here. Also the new manager is here! “This is the right club for me and my family as well.
