Wrestling Bios Presents - The Story of "The Crow" Sting in WCW When people think of WCW, they think of Sting. Steve Borden's character captured the imagination of fans throughout the late 80s and early 90s in WCW, becoming one of the company's most celebrated and popular superstars. When times began changing in wrestling, Sting was smart enough to move with the times and alter his character for a new generation of wrestling fans. In the summer of 1996, the nWo was formed in WCW and Sting would eventually became the group's main rival. When superstars of WCW began questioning Sting's motives, he became a new and brooding character. Steve Borden transformed from the "Surfer" Sting to "The Crow" Sting, a superstar who wouldn't say much but still managed to have the audience in the palm of his hand. Sting would feud with the nWo and, eventually, he would even join the "Wolfpac" version of the faction. Throughout the years, the man they call Sting was able to stay relevant while still capturing championship gold and further cementing himself as a legend of World Championship Wrestling.
