😆 I love it
.
The movie was too stupid, even for a comedy, but then Lou Diamond Phillips trying to act black was too much. I guess this was a time before Hollywood threw fits over someone appropriating Native American culture, but an Indian appropriating black culture probably would still be ok. Maybe he's just trying to one-up Wahlberg, the king of black appropriation?
I am beginning to come a fan of Mark Wahlberg's work now that I have seen Boogie Nights, The Basketball Diaries and The Big Hit. This is probably his most underrated film. Why does everyone hate it? All these makers wanna do is shoot guns, have a laugh and let us enjoy the film. This film is funny as, it is about a bunch of hitmen capturing a young high school student and then the leader falling in love with her, this then becomes mayhem because the hitmen may have to leave town, or even skip the country! I really enjoyed this film, it had good acting and a funny script. Don't miss it!
To start with, I wish IMDB would start having a policy of blocking paid shills. The ones giving this dreck glowing incredible reviews all write the same way. If this was supposed to be satire or comedy or something like that it failed miserably. The writing is perhaps the worst. I keep wondering how movies are sold strictly on who is going to be in it. The dialogue is mundane and predictable. The so called "action" is predictable and even if it is supposed to be kind of a black comedy it falls flat. And the resulting romance between kidnapper and kidnappee is just so boring and lame and predictable. The dinner and chase sequence and the rest...The ending is the same as EVERY SINGLE OTHER with the good guy hitman and his victim falling in love and running off together. NOTHING about this was funny or serious or anything. IT is just a BLAH movie. So happy I didn't pay anything to see it I would bet the farm the writers actually DID use a phone to send in the script.
All I have to say is that this movie completely sucks. Period. No one should ever try and tell me there is something good about it. I thought this movie looked good, so I rented it, and I couldn't even finish watching it it sucked so much. Dont put yourself through the agony I went through. 0/10
