On my coaching course we were taught to teach it with a twist on the foot. Over the years of coaching and looking into this matter, I learned the importance of keeping the foot planted. This allowed me to generate more power and enable me to be more balanced in my stance. Now it is an individual preference but it is good to research and try out different methods to improve your boxing so try it out.
