Rohit Sharma has been officially named the Tournament Ambassador for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will be hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8. The announcement was made by ICC Chairman Jay Shah during an event in Mumbai, where the full schedule was also revealed. Rohit Sharma is a two-time T20 World Cup winner — first in 2007 as a young player under MS Dhoni, and again in 2024 as captain. After winning the 2024 title, Rohit retired from T20Is along with Virat Kohli. Rohit said he feels proud to become the first active cricketer to be appointed as an ICC ambassador.
