Ryan Blackwell brings an extraordinary background to the RAF mat. A former two-time North Carolina State wrestling champion and a two-time NCAA Academic All-American survived the 2019 terrorist attack on the Naval Air Station Pensacola. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for shielding fellow servicemen and getting them to safety while getting shot six times.
