Ozone: The Attack of the Redneck Mutants
I love low-budget horror films, and being a super 8 film enthusiast I just had to watch this one. From its reviews I wasn't expecting much out of it other than a few eco-freak messages about saving the environment and a lot of bad stereotypical hillbilly jokes, but I was really surprised to find that it was actually well-shot for an amateur film, and kind of funny too. Its acting wasn't the best, some of the "actors" were quite annoying, but it was still obvious that they were having fun making the film. It wasn't overly vulgar or filled with pervy jokes, so I was glad of that, too. And it sure beats that awful Troma film Redneck Zombies by a long shot. Anyway, this film has a lot of flaws, but at the very least it's a nostalgia trip with the bright colours of Kodachrome, and it can be laughed at.
