The French anthropologist Marcel Lefavre is eaten by cannibals and vanishes in Brazil, living behind his unfinished journal. His unwilling pupil Alberto Lupo, returns to his home country to finish his work and is faced with everything that he had run away from: the power of nature and its essence of life.
