Lethal

I’ve read all the Disciples books and love them all.I think Ignite is my favorite audible although if Sara Puckett or basically any other female narrator read this Lethal would be a strong competitor. The thing is , when she isn’t narrating as Eve, she isn’t bad. Eve is supposed to be this badass take no shit carny girl and Devon reads her robotically and in a monotone whisper. I find myself skipping her chapters. I hate when a narrator ruins an otherwise excellent story. Troy Duran is defiantly the right cast for Blade though.

This is a great book. Lots of hot sexy scenes and a pretty good start to the whole series! One thing that should be changed is the female narrator!!! She is the worst!!! She always talks in a whisper even when the character is angry or in a bad situation!! This narrator is ruining good books!!

Love the book and Troy Duran is fantastic! Devin Grace, not so much. It’s like she’s whispering throughout the whole thing. Drive me crazy!! Seriously, speak in a normal volume!!!

This is packed full of surprises. The reason for the 4 rating is that I cared enough about the story to listen to the end. it was definitely a 5 star until the very end. Some of it was hard to hear, some was fascinating. Overall, left a feeling of "Really! what just happened?" Fairly emotional book. multiple triggers: abuse of all kinds, cheating, neglect. Just fyi - enter with cautionTD is fantastic in narration! First time with him will find more of his work. DG - nope, I'll passSPOILERS!?! he is denigrating and abusive constantly. then he flips. as soon as I like him he pulls the jerk again. as for her. liked her most of the book. BUT THEN - Throughout the whole book she is, "I'm so sad I can't have kids"... etc, etc. then in the last 25 minutes we are told she planned it and intentionally lied to him?!?COMPLETELY changed me view of the book. can't stand the FMC now and pretty sure I won't trust the author again either.

I struggled to finish this. I wish certain parts were written better and had a better tie-in to the overall story. It's like when you write a script and have these great scenes but have to write minor fillers to combine them together.

Devon Grace greatly distracted from the overall book.Agree with other reviewers on her poor narration.Troy Duran was great.Really wish the author had chosen a duet narration production.The rough/tough guy needs to sound that way throughout the whole book!Will most likely try another in the series since Ms Grace isn’t one of the narrators.

This book was centered around Eve and Blade (Jason). Jason takes Eve as his property because her brother, Benny stole money from him. They previously when Eve was 16 and they had a connection. Now, Jason has her and makes it clear that she is his old lady and that she will not be going anywhere. This book had me laughing a lot and emotional. Eve is a sneaky little thing and Jason just lets her get away with things sometimes with a smile. Their romance was interesting to read/listen (I listened through Audible). I loved every min of this book and would highly recommend you check it out. The narrators were amazing in this book. Troy Duran has a really good voice for Jason and Devon’s voice for Eve was good. I really enjoyed listening to their narration of this book. They did a really good job!

New author for me. Ooh age gap, but not sure by how many. Wow!! Blade can be such a misogynistic ***hole! When he's not being a Neanderthal, pretty hot in his alphaholeness. I loved how the h challenged his resistances and wrapped him around her pinky 😈
