On his way home for a family reunion on Christmas Eve, nightclub manager Tony Towers takes the 3:17 train to Nottingham, only to find himself traveling through time. As Tony ends up ruining his brother's life, he has to travel much further into the past in a desperate attempt to salvage the situation.
