Have you ever wondered what would happen if the promoters fought instead of the fighters? Well on 1 August 1993, Inside the legendary Metro Nightclub Melbourne it actually happened. Two of Melbourne’s biggest promoters stepped into the ring for a charity kickboxing fight — Kon Brousalis vs Christopher Chronis — a true “Battle of the Promoters.” 🔥 Kon Brousalis – A premier Melbourne fight promoter from the mid-1980s, known for building some of the most iconic shows of that era. Kon later stepped away from the scene for personal reasons, but his influence on early Australian kickboxing remains legendary. 🔥 Christopher Chronis – One of Melbourne’s most recognisable style icons of the 90s, a powerhouse fashion designer with brands like Christopher Chronis Designs, Gas Station, and later global licensing deals under Global Designer Brands and Playboy Icon. This charity fight remains one of the most unusual and unforgettable moments in Aussie fight culture a night where the promoters became the fighters. 👉 Hit Subscribe for more rare Fight Rewind footage, classic Aussie fights, and lost gems from Australia’s combat-sport history. #Kickboxing #KonBrousalis #ChristopherChronis #FightRewind #Melbourne #AussieKickboxing #1990s #RetroFights #CharityFight #AustralianFightHistory
