The film is quite good for a TV movie that requires numerous special effects. Several noteworthy actors, and an effective script make it well worth viewing. Jason London is cast as the lead in the film, although this platform seems intent on downplaying his participation.
The graphics are great, the site is picked in a very good way. Costumes, make-ups, ... I guess they look so much like they would've been in that time. I believe the actors were picked carefully, specially Jason London, I think no other actor could replace him in his role.
"Jason and the Argonauts" is a remarkable illustration of the Greek mythology. Especially the costumes reminded me of the books I used to read when I was a student. The selection of the actors was also very successful and the script doesn't exaggerate. Quite enjoyable !!
"Jason and the Argonauts" is yet another NBC fantasy mini-series masterpiece. With all the lavish special effects and its lack of deviation from the actual myth made it worth my time to see. Unlike most mini-series on TV, I didn't find myself channel-surfing during the commercials or looking at my watch to see when it will end. It's long but it keeps you in your seat. The people playing in it are mostly unknown (except for Natasha Henstridge and that guy from Braveheart who played Zeus). The guy who plays Jason looked like a cross between the UPN Hercules and Brendan Fraser. Anyways, this mini-series was definitely worth missing Fox on Sunday and gets a 9.
Not a bad film. Quite enjoyable for a lazy afternoon watch.
Jason and the argonauts was an excellent mini series that i found to be very interesting. I feel that Jason london did some good acting as well as his other co stars. I thought it was really sad when hercules died, and i didnt really like the charater Medea, because it seemed that the only reason why she even liked him was because hera made her. Some parts of the story were a bit dull, but all together it was a great movie.
