This might be the corniest movie I have ever watched
Kids will like it. But can't say no more. Although the mim character was soooooooooooooooko annoying.
Second-rate family/kiddy comedy barely hangs by a thread by virtue of the two girls. The premise of the plot is sound and it affords many coherent and cool narratives. I don't see why the writers decided to choose the idiotic instead. As for the cast, Sadie Stanly turns out to be star in every shot (which might be premeditated by marketing suits, or other powers), and Cree Cicchino does a terrific job as her sidekick. Everything else pales in comparison. Specially the husband (over the top all the way) and the kid brother, who never manages to deliver a convincing line. I get it: casting directors saw the resemblance with the "home-alone kid"... But he just doesn't have the knack for it. Anyway, I guess it makes good entertainment for 7 year-olds and below.
Great cast & funny good writing. Hilarious story line. A new young comedian in the making, what a ham! What a fun surprise!!!
I watched this with my 10 and 5 year old. Both of them loved this movie, especially the dance scene in the bathroom. Great entertainment for the whole family!
Everyone here rated this way too harshly! The Sleepover definitely isn't anything special, but it's not half bad. I think I'm a bit older than the target audience here and yet I enjoyed it far more than I expected. It's super cheesy, but sometimes you aren't looking for a thriller. If you're looking for a movie to watch with your kids and still get a kick out of it, I'd recommend it. It's not a non-stop action R-rated spy movie, don't watch it if that's what you're looking for,
My kids thoroughly enjoyed this. I even have to admit I liked it. It's not as cheesy as ther reviews say. Wholesome family fun!
I watched this movie because it was trending on Netflix, but it turned out to be a complete waste of time. Cheesy, cringy type of movie with awful acting and even worse script. The story line is extremely stupid. The jokes aren't funny. The only reason I kept watching it till the end was the younger brother character, whose acting was pretty good. The rest of the cast were very weak with robotic performances. Don't watch!
A LOT of people these days of internet isolation forget that there are other people in the world. Some are called children. Some are called families. This is a really good family movie. Like so many family movies my parents took us to when I was a kid, The Computer Who Wore Tennis Shoes, Swiss Family Robinson, That Darn Cat, The Shaggy DA, etc., etc., etc., this movie is made for family viewing. It's also made for children. And older folks who still like family movies. And me. And you. Make some popcorn.
