The Nature Boy Homer Gibbins Vs Kenny Vice for the World Boxing Fereration Jr-Welter-weight World Championship in Marietta at the Cobb Civic Center. Kenny Vice was set to win the world title but met a young and up and coming fighter ranked #10 by the WBF. Homer under the management of Evander Holyfield proved on this night that he could be among the best in the business. This fight aired through out the south and showed that Homer could be a contender. Kenny Vice was a 31 year old veteran of the ring. He was the man who knocked out Brian Baronet June 6, 198, a fight where Baronet went down and never regain conscienciousness. Kenny ranked the #1 contender was a true warrior and this would prove to be a fight to remember. Homer had became a father earlier in 1992 and was ranked at #10 in the world and looking to prove that he was a world class fighter. This is a "Quest for Glory" and The WBF provided us with one great fight to remember!
