This is AJ Styles’ entire feud with Finn Balor. In September 2022, Finn Balor saw Styles talking on the phone and told him that they haven’t talked in a long time, who said they haven’t spoken since Finn joined Judgment Day. Finn said that he never turned his back on him. Styles said he wants no part of Judgment Day. Finn asked Styles if he’s looking for a fight, but he knows he isn’t looking for one and hugged him. Then Finn told him the offer still stands. A week later, Finn told Styles that the Judgment Day could achieve more with him, offering him an olive branch. Styles refused, saying that he can watch his own back. Then Styles faced Sami Zayn. Sami distracted the ref, Solo slammed Styles on the apron and Sami hit him with the Helluva Kick to win the match. The Judgment Day interrupted. Finn told Styles that if he accepted his offer, the result would have been different. Finn asked Styles once again to join, who then showed him the middle finger and The Judgment Day beat him down. They wrapped a chair around his neck, Finn went for a stomp and stopped, telling Styles he could’ve ended his career. A week later, Finn offered him another olive branch. Then he teamed up with Damien Priest against Styles and Rey Mysterio. The ref was distracted, Rhea Ripley took out Rey, Styles was looking at him, Finn dropkicked him and hit him with the Coup de Grâce to win the match. Rey told Styles he’s the one to blame, who then pushed him and Rey left. Then The Judgment Day attacked Styles and beat him down. Next week, Finn wanted to give Styles an ultimatum and he interrupted. Styles told Finn that everything he needed was in front of him. He was alone for far too long and there comes a time when he needs friends, especially family. Styles kneeled in front of Finn and they hugged. Finn said he knew he would come around. Styles told him he wasn’t talking about him and Finn was shocked because Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows returned. Then the segment ended in a brawl. A week later, The OC beat Alpha Academy.
