They had the experience. They had the reputation. They were already legends of the K-1 ring. But Francisco Filho brought something they couldn't afford to underestimate: the devastating power of Kyokushin Karate. A Brazilian heavyweight who began training at just 10 years old, Filho endured the legendary 100-Man Kumite in Japan before making his mark on the international fighting scene. Then he stepped into K-1. In his debut, he shocked the kickboxing world by knocking out Andy Hug, one of the sport's most respected fighters. But that was only the beginning. Filho went on to face some of K-1's biggest names, including Ernesto Hoost, Peter Aerts, and Sam Greco. Whether through calculated pressure or a single explosive punch, he possessed the power to change a fight in an instant. His knockout of Sam Greco came just 15 seconds into the opening round. Against Peter Aerts, his relentless pressure helped force a second-round stoppage. Beyond K-1, Filho also became a multiple-time Kyokushin World Champion, cementing his place among the greatest fighters ever to emerge from the Brazilian Karate scene. This is the story of Francisco Filho — the Kyokushin powerhouse who brought Karate into the ring and made K-1 legends feel his power. Which of Filho's performances impressed you the most?
