What do you get when you combine the hard-hitting Masha Slamovich with the innovation and speed of AKIRA? You get a truly enthralling match with some unique escapes and pin attempts from AKIRA, and plenty of gasps at the stiff attacks from Masha. The two open with a high-speed sequence featuring plenty of reversals and pin attempts. Masha stops Akira’s momentum by stomping on his foot, then chokes him on the mat and against the ropes, before nailing him with a Suplex for a 2 count. The two trade chops and kicks, as well as less-than-legal maneuvers, such as the moment when AKIRA grabs a handful of Masha’s hair, but leaves his hand wide open for a chomp from Masha to get him to release her hair. Masha tries to keep AKIRA grounded with chokes, facelocks on the mat, a Camel Clutch, and numerous judo-style armbars on the mat. The creative AKIRA works his way out of Masha’s submissions, including one escape that he quickly transitions into a bridging Chinlock on Masha. The two bruisers battle back and forth until one manages to catch the other in a Boston Crab, then adds a little extra to crank up the pain for a match-ending hold that looks as painful as it must feel.
