The time is near for the end of the Samurai era (Edo) and the new Meiji government founded in Japan. Three young brothers -- Tenka, Soramaru, and Chutaro -- who are the guardians of the Kumou shrine, stand up to prevent the Orochi (gigantic snake) from coming back to life every 300 years and thus they save the their country. It's one year after the great battle against the Orochi . The truth behind the ancient legend, the reason behind the feud between Tenka and Kumou, and story of their parents getting killed is revealed for the first time.
