Here is a quick gripping/kumi kata strategy to help you pull off a Sode Tsuri Komi Goshi in competition. The strategy focuses on using your shoulders to avoid your opponents hand, leading their balance towards you and then quickly grabbing their hand; and using that movement to execute the throw.
