After three hard-fought rounds, Samantha Mazza earned a well-deserved points victory, but the result is only part of the story. At a time when women's kickboxing received very little recognition, Dianne and Samantha showed incredible courage by competing in front of crowds that were still getting used to seeing female fighters. Their willingness to step through the ropes helped inspire future generations of Australian women to chase their dreams in Muay Thai and kickboxing.
