Isaan is the poorest region in Thailand. The children of Isaan often grow up in a childhood of poverty, the same fate who’s defeated generation after generation before them. Very few village children have the strength to defy the odds. Even once they make it to adulthood, they are dealt with other challenges - menial employment and a life of uncertainty and hardships. This is what Boom and Frances set to change. Wor. Watthana Gym wants to help these at-risk youth change the course of their lives. The gym started 5 years ago on a dusty patch of land behind Boom’s father’s home. The village kids started coming out of curiosity, and they kept coming back.
